1. Confirm the vehicle before paying a deposit

1. Ask whether the quote is for the revised G6, earlier stock or a used vehicle. Record the trim and battery specification.
2. Request the equipment list for that particular car. Check the features you will actually use rather than assuming every trim has the same driver assistance, recording or comfort equipment.
3. Check the written on-the-road price, options, delivery estimate and deposit terms. Keep a copy of the quotation.
4. If considering another XPENG model, request current UK order and delivery confirmation. An overseas launch or a coming-soon page is not an available UK vehicle.

3. For a used or pre-registered car, establish the remaining cover and service history rather than assuming a fresh warranty starts at purchase.

Do not apply a warranty term quoted for another country or an earlier European announcement to a UK purchase. If paperwork conflicts with a sales statement, ask the retailer to resolve it before proceeding.

4. Compare ownership costs and accessories

1. Get an insurance quotation for the exact variant and compare the excess and relevant cover, not just the headline premium.
2. Add your likely charging, servicing and tyre costs to the vehicle price or contractual payments.
3. For accessories, check generation, model year, right-hand-drive fit, delivery cost and return terms before ordering.
4. If a discount code is listed, check that the retailer accepts it for your basket and compare the final delivered price with alternatives.
