EVDeal.co.uk is a UK electric vehicle ownership savings platform covering insurance guidance, home and public charging comparisons, owner-submitted price evidence, verified deals, practical tools, servicing and independent guides.

Information we collect

We may collect information you choose to provide, including your email address when joining the newsletter, advert submission details, business contact details, uploaded advert content, comments or messages sent to us.

How we use your information

We use this information to operate the website, manage advert submissions, send requested newsletter emails, respond to enquiries, prevent abuse, improve the website and keep basic business records.

When you use the contact form, we store the name, reply email, subject and message you provide, together with the IP address and browser user-agent used for abuse prevention and basic security. Contact messages are available only in the EVDeal administration area and may also be delivered to the private administration inbox.

Newsletter emails

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address and an unsubscribe token. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails.

When you unsubscribe, we may keep your email address on a suppression list so we do not accidentally send newsletter emails to you again. You can request full deletion by contacting us.

Advertising and affiliate links

Advertisers may provide business names, contact details, advert copy, banner images and target URLs. Public adverts may include sponsored links. Affiliate links may redirect visitors to third-party websites.

Cookies and analytics

We use necessary browser storage for features such as theme choice, saved tools and security. EVDeal also operates a first-party, cookieless measurement system to understand which pages and tools are useful.

This measurement records the page path, type of action, referring website domain, broad device category and date/time. It does not store your name, email address, full IP address, precise location, advertising identifier, browser fingerprint or activity on other websites. Measurement records are automatically removed after 90 days.

Browser-only tools

Features such as My EVDeal and EV Reminders can save your chosen vehicle, approximate mileage, charging preferences, postcode area, priorities, notes or dates in your own browser. This information is not sent to EVDeal as part of your saved profile. It remains on that device until you clear it or clear browser storage.

Owner Price Pulse

If you choose to contribute to Owner Price Pulse, EVDeal stores the entry type, EV model, optional broad UK region, optional age band for insurance entries, quoted prices and any optional provider or short quote detail you enter. The form does not request a name, email address, registration number, policy number, exact postcode or precise address, and EVDeal does not store an IP address with the submission.

Entries are held for moderation and are only published in an anonymous form. Administrators may reject or delete entries that appear inaccurate, identifying or abusive. Because no contact information is requested, EVDeal may not be able to identify an individual entry later without the details and approximate submission time supplied by the contributor.

Home-screen installation prompt

EVDeal stores a small visit count and dismissal date in your browser so the optional “Add EVDeal” message is shown only to returning visitors and does not repeatedly interrupt you. This stays on your device and is not submitted to EVDeal.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We may use trusted service providers such as hosting, email, payment or analytics providers where needed to run the website.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, unsubscribe, restrict or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal or business record requirements.
